Light: Place your Tillandsia in bright, indirect sunlight for optimal growth. Avoid exposing them to harsh, direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can scorch their delicate foliage.
Water: Unlike traditional plants, Tillandsia absorb water and nutrients through their leaves. Give them a refreshing misting with a spray bottle two to three times a week, ensuring their foliage is thoroughly dampened but not waterlogged. If you live in a particularly dry climate, consider soaking your air plants in room temperature water for 20-30 minutes once a week to supplement their hydration needs.
Air Circulation: True to their name, air plants thrive on good air circulation. Position them in an area with adequate airflow to prevent stagnation and promote healthy growth. Gentle breezes from fans or open windows are perfect for keeping your Tillandsia happy.
Temperature: While Tillandsia are resilient and can tolerate a range of temperatures, they prefer warmer conditions between 50°F to 90°F (10°C to 32°C). Protect them from extreme cold or heat to prevent stress and damage to their foliage.
Fertilizing: Feed your air plants with a diluted, water-soluble fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring to early fall) to encourage robust growth and vibrant blooms. Choose a fertilizer specifically formulated for epiphytic plants, and remember to dilute it to half strength to avoid over-fertilization.

We ship orders Monday & Tuesday of each week to ensure your order is not held over into the weekend caused by any delays. If you have not received a tracking code by the following Wednesday after placing your order please email steve@springwatergardencenter.com with your order number to inquire. We ship using 3 main providers: Canada Post is the automatic selection at delivery. Please contact us directly for a FEDEX or PUROLATOR Shipping Quote!
We currently ship using Canada Post through our website to deliver our products Canada-wide. Shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. However, not every system is accurate all the time. If we require more shipping fees for your order we will let you (the customer) know as soon as we (Springwater Garden Center) know to help make the process smooth.
Plants are living things and may not always arrive in perfect condition. Shipping is at the buyers risk and expense. If temperature is below 7°C you may purchase the Winter Shipping Package for $8 per order. This includes a 96-hour heatpack and extra wrapping/packing supplies.
